American Miner's Shoe, 19th Century

Antique American iron shoe with button knobs, lined bottom part with three knobs missing. Not sure how this was worn, over another shoe presumably. Provenance said it was used by miners seeking gold during the California Gold rush (1848-1855). A historical artifact, an interesting object nonetheless.

Iron, American, 19th century.

Measures  9 ½” long x 3 ½” wide.
