Hibachi, Japanese, Kiri wood , mother-of-pearl inlay and lacquer, copper lined, leaves and flower design, Meiji period, early 20th century. Beautiful condition. This kind of hibachi were primarily used for heat and not cooking. Most probably owned by an affluent individual.
