Ornamented wood rice beater. Shaped like a fan, back is plain, front has beautifully executed carving of a face with headdress. The handle has a hole for string or wire. From the patina of the wood and carving it denotes age. It has a hairline crack on the face from the eyebrow up to top of the headdress, not apparent and an old miniscule chip on one edge which over time has become quite part of the piece. A beautiful representation of the skill of Balinese carvers.
Approximately 80 years old. Measures 1 1/2" x 6 1/2."
