JPBT1305 Vintage Japanese Wood Hibachi

Kiri wood, copper lined, one drawer hibachi with shelf and detachable tray. Hibachis were generic accessories in a Japanese home in the old days, some were used for cooking and some for heating. In a modern home, it's a wonderful decorative accent with plants, fabric, etc. This particular one was most probably used to generate heat. There is no apparent sign of much usage so was probably delegated only for a guest or special person. Circa 1960. Provenance, owned by an American family who resided in Japan from 1945 on. Measures  10 5/8” tall x 26 5/8” wide x 15 ½” deep. Contact us for shipping information.
