Pair of Oil Lamps Shokudai, Japanese, Wood Lacquer, Meiji period

Pair of oil lamps that can also function as a candlestand, black wood lacquer.  The oil lamp portion are detachable and the candlestand can hold candles, if desired.  A few losses in the lacquer  and metal portion of the oil lamp as well as small split in the bowl of one of the candlestick, otherwise in good functioning condition.  Late Meiji period, early 20th century.
