SJ1420 Vintage Japanese Incense Burner

Two piece clay composite incense burner. Top has mottled black design with flower relief in center, four openings and apron is ringed with small button beads which is repeated around the top of the bowl. Four panels with two each relief designs of birds and butterflies and flowers on the other in black background. Bottom has three feet and is marked “Japan”. Showa period, c. 1950. Measurements: Top: 2 ½” diameter, 1" high; bowl: 4”diameter, 3 ½ ” high.
