Antique Indian Bronze Gauri

Indian bronze head of Gauri, the Glowing One, another name for Parvati, the epitome of marital fidelity. Elaborate curled braid, hair ornaments and separate marriage collar necklace. Supported on a wood plinth, from the state of Maharashtra and used as the head of a doll like image worshiped and displayed at the Gauri festival. Excellent condition.
