Pair of KITSUNE (FOXES), Japanese, Porcelain, Mid-century

Kitsune legends abound in Japanese folklore. Most notably they are associated with Inari, the Shinto deity of rice. They are considered Inari’s messengers and this association has reinforced their supernatural significance. Entire shrines are dedicated to Kitsune
and devotees can leave offerings.

white body with red painted ears, tails have striped gold tip standing on a platform.  Very good condition, no cracks or losses. Measures 8"x4 1/2" x 2".
