Tomyodai Buddhist Oil Lamp, Japan, 19th century

Antique Buddhist votive oil lamp stand. Wrought iron holder in the shape of the Chintamani wish-fulfilling gem with five oil dish holders (two on either side and one at top). Original stoneware dishes (one dish has some breaks) used as an oil lamp, all mounted on a large wood base with thick oil drip accretion, oxidation to iron oil residue in dishes. Overall fine condition.
