Bean Beater, Wood, Japanese, Mid-century

A natural branch shaped like a wishbone was actually used as a bean beater, taking out seeds, a truly primitive utilitarian tool, there's beauty in its stance, a "Mingei" piece as the Japanese would call it. Mounted in a steel plate, it becomes an art piece.
