Maneki-Neko, Japanese good fortune cat is a symbol of fortune and prosperity particularly to
merchants and business oriented trades. A lifted right-paw ensures good health and good luck at home. A lifted left paw ensures good fortune in business. This ceramic neko from the Imari kiln has green and orange scarf around his neck and brown and black spots all over his body.
Stands at 4”, in good condition. Meiji, early 20 th century.
