Haisen, Sake washer bowl, Blue and white, Arita ware, Late Meiji period

Blue and white painting of open and close fans inside the bowl.  The open fans have landscape painting on them.  The outside body has more painting of close and open fans.  Rim has thick indentations all around.  Delicate paintings but the vessel is very hefty.  Signs of use and age, in very good condition.  Haisens were used for washing sake cups.  Measures 5 3/4"d x 4 1/2"H, Late Meiji period, c.1910-20.
